Prehistoric Visions: Evolving Perspectives on Paleoart and Fossil Animals

Collaborative exhibition featuring University of Oklahoma student illustrations and animations depicting imaginative life recreations of fossil animals, displayed alongside rarely displayed fossils from the Vertebrate Paletontology collection at the Sam Noble Oklahoma Natural History Museum in Norman, OK. Co-Curated with Dr. Jacqueline Lungmus, this show featured student work from OU School of Visual Arts classes taught by Haley Prestifilippo and Tess Elliot. Historic and contemporary paleoart pieces from the Sam Noble’s collections were also on view, including work by Nicholas Czaplewski PhD, Jennifer Larsen, Ralph Shead, Charles R. Knight and others. This exhibit also featured a lecture and workshop by award-winning paleoartist Brian Engh.
