Community Garden invited community members to collaborate on a drawing project throughout the duration of Biophilia. Paper was provided at the entrance to the gallery, as well at each programming event. Visitors were asked to respond to a simple prompt, to write or draw about their personal concept of nature.

Over 100 of these drawings were collected, and placed in a large hand-bound book, created by local artist Matthew Gilliland. This was inspired by herbarium books, specifically those found in the 18th + 19th centuries, as ways to collect specimens.
